Meaning of Indict and Measly
Indict’ means to charge someone formally with an offence in law.
I don’t know for what offence he has been indicted.
He was indicted for murder.
Indictment’ is the noun form. The ‘c’ in ‘indict’ and ‘indictment’ to not pronounced. ‘Indict’ is pronounced ‘indait’; ‘dait’ rhymes with ‘sight’ and ‘right’.
Measly’ means ‘of little value, of poor quality, worthless, contemptible’.
He gave me a measly gift.
It was a measly wedding.
I am getting a measly pension.

The ‘s’ in measly to pronounced ‘z’.
